Depart Sapa on a 30min drive to the breathtaking Muong Hoa Valley, home to the largest terraced rice fields in Sapa. If your visit is between May and October, it will coincide with the local planting and harvest time, a chance to see the local farmers in action.
Hike to the Black H'mong village of Lao Chai and notice how their houses are typically built without windows due to the cold weather in the winter.
Continue to the Ta Van Village to visit the Zay, an ethnic group known for their brightly colored clothing. Observe their way of life and the local traditions before continuing your trek featuring magnificent views of the terraced fields and impressive Mount Fansipan, Indochina’s highest mountain. Return to Sapa in the early afternoon.
