Yala National Park has one of the densest leopard populations in the world, as well as a host of other animals including elephants, sloth bear, sambar deer, spotted deer, wild boar, crocodiles, monkeys and buffalos.

You will wake up early and accompanied by a wildlife specialist and driver, get in line to be one of the first in the park when it opens.

Your guide will not only help you spot some of the most fascinating wildlife, but will share their experience and knowledge with you. We recommend you wear a light layer as temperatures in the early morning can be cool. Don't forget your camera too; this is a prime opportunity to capture some incredible shots of Sri Lanka's famous wildlife.
