Anuradhapura Cycling Tour

Anuradhapura, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, once the capital of Sri Lanka's anciet civilization, now for the past 1000 years taken over by nature is a beautiful and interesting area to explore. This cycling tour will get you the opportunity to cycle through villages and paddy fields to give you sense of day to day living in Anuradapura. You will also go to the stupas of Ruwanweliseya, Abayagirl and Jethavana, where relics of Lord Buddha and other objects and veneration are kept. Following the visit to the stupas, head to see the Samadhi Buddha statue as well as the sacred 'Bo' Tree which was grown from a cutting of the exact tree under which Buddha attained enlightenment.
