Yangon Cooking Class
Enjoy a unique cultural experience with the chance to learn to cook a selection of traditional and delicious Myanmar dishes under the guidance of Ms Nyo Nyo San, head chef at the award-winning Monsoon Restaurant in Yangon.
This cooking class takes place at the prestigious Monsoon Restaurant, known for accomplished Southeast Asian cuisine. Housed in an old colonial building in downtown Yangoon, the restaurant has its own Cooking School overseen by the restaurant chef, Ms Nyo Nyo San. She will demonstrate how to cook a range of traditional Myanmar dishes, before you get to cook them yourself. Dishes may include an appetizer, soup, salad, vegetable tempura, chicken gourd curry, butter fish curry and coconut rice. After the cooking lesson, you can enjoy your wonderful self-cooked lunch with your fellow students. The classes run from 9.30am with a maximum number of ten students. There is also the option to visit the local market before the class starts to choose your ingredients and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere.
