Iharana Camp has just eight atmospheric cottages, or cabanas, all built in the traditional style utilising local mud and palm thatch. Each comes with its own bathroom, but the star of the room is the mezzanine sleeping area that is partially open to the elements on one side, protected by mosquito netting. An ecologically-minded camp, here the hot water and lighting are both solar powered.
Days here are often spent exploring the local villages, looking for birdlife and lemur and getting to know the Mahavavy River. There are also options to explore the caves and to head out to the local mountains. Back at the camp, a spacious outdoor terrace allows for reflection and lakeside views. A great choice for adventurous families and couples who want to be close to nature, in comfort.
