Fringed by white sandy beaches with extraordinary birds, lush vegetation and encircled by coral reefs, the region is bathed in sunshine all year round. Tsarabanjina is a sacred islet. On the small peninsula of the eastern beach you can find the tomb of the Sakalava kings of the Mitsio islands. Up to this day the people of the Mitsio islands venerate this place; they come here bringing their offerings (money, honey, rum...).
Tsarabanjina lies 60km off the coast of Madagascar. The lodge has 25 attractive thatched bungalows made of local materials dotted along the north and south beaches under the shady palms. There is a good bar and restaurant serving fantastic fresh seafood and the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. There are several private beaches which make Tsarabanjina perfect for the escapist, and the diving, fishing and snorkeling here are hard to beat.
