Best time to Visit

Good time to visit

Average time to visit

Chamonix, Verbier and Zermatt all offer excellent conditons throughout the season. Skiing is well under way by Christmas and due to the high altitude terrain in each of the three resorts they are open until mid April. The higher snow base and longer sunny days make March and April skiing an excellent time to travel.

This is the ultimate bucket list itinerary for hardcore skiers, ticking off three of the biggest names in the ski world - Chamonix in France, Verbier and Zermatt in Switzerland. From the famous Vallée Blanche in Chamonix, to the Backside off Mont Fort in Verbier, this is an incredible trip, experiencing some truly exceptional skiing with our full permission for post-trip bragging rights.

  1. Fly to Geneva

  2. Days 1-4: Chamonix

The trip begins in Chamonix, host to the first Winter Olympics in 1924 and arguably the most famous Alpine adventure destination. Nestling on the valley floor beneath the towering Aiguille du Midi and Europe's highest peak, Mont Blanc. The town is buzzing with active types, both skiers and non-skiers alike as there are many that visit to experience both the skiing and non-ski activities. You'll need to be prepared to travel a little bit to experience the different ski areas as the skiing is a little disjointed and spread over five different mountains. However, when you're swooping down the epic 12 kilometer long Vallee Blanche - this will seem totally insignificant as you experience this journey over a glacier, surrounded by staggeringly beautiful scenery.

Accommodation: Hotel Mont Blanc (3 nights)

  3. Days 4-4: Travel to Verbier

  4. Days 4-7: Verbier

From Chamonix, you'll move on to Verbier across the border in Switzerland, where the adrenaline cranks up a notch and the high-octane skiing continues, Swiss-style. Here you can tick off skiing the backside off Mont Fort, one of the steepest runs in the Alps, the notorious Tortin and then take on the might of Mont Gele. Off the slopes soak up the atmosphere this pretty resort has to offer - with some great places to party if you're up to it.

    Accommodation: W Verbier (3 nights)

  5. Days 7-7: Travel to Zermatt

  6. Days 7-10: Zermatt

The adventures in Switzerland continue with the final leg ending in the stunning resort of Zermatt, nestling in the shadow of the iconic Matterhorn. Steeped in Alpine history, this famous Swiss resort has been welcoming alpinists for over 150 years and one of the most beautiful resorts in the Alps. Zermatt is home to some great yellow itinerary runs and with the best off-piste terrain accessed by helicopter. This gives you access to the epic descents from the top of Monte Rosa or from the Alphubeljoch to Tasch.

We strongly recommend letting us organize a guide in each resort for you to benefit from their local knowledge and experience. They'll do the thinking for you and ensure you get the very best out of the incredible skiing on offer according to the conditions, taking you to the best powder fields and slopes each resort has to offer.

Accommodation: Mont Cervin Palace (3 nights)

  7. Days 10-10: Depart Geneva

  8. Days 10-10: Travel back to Geneva
