Hungary neighbors Austria, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Romania and Ukraine. Its central European location means it’s easy to combine with myriad other destinations. Hungary is a member of the European Union and the Schengen Border-less Europe Agreement.
Hungarian cuisine is rich and varied. Traditional Goulash and other hearty stews and paprika-tinged meaty dishes are well known throughout the world. The country also produces some fantastic full bodied red wines as well as elegant dry whites. Arguably the best known Hungarian wine is Tokai, an excellent desert wine. Wherever you go in Hungary you can expect to feel very welcome and to eat and drink very well.
