Traditional Bali and Natural Wonders
Discover a traditional Bali as you spend the day exploring farming villages, an 11th century temple complex guarded by a mythical dragon, Penglipuran village concluding with a visit to Kintamani which boasts views of the active volcano, Mount Batur.
Make sure to take your camera with you on this scenic tour through rural Bali. Enjoy the tropical green surroundings as you make your way to Subak Guliang, a traditional farming village.
Upon arrival take a look round. You will notice the village houses here are unlike other regions of Indonesia. The local people build their homes based on the Asta Kosala Kosali tradition, which is similar to Feng Shui. Enjoy being welcomed by the community here and invited into one of these Balinese homes for a local breakfast.
Later stroll through local farms and learn the complex methods used to grow rice whilst sipping on fresh coconut water.
Following your visit to Subak Guliang, you'll head to Pura Kehan, a temple complex dating back to the 11th Century. Near to the town of Bangli, this is considered one of the island's most beautiful temples. Climb the thirty eight steps until you reach the Kori Ayung and a beautiful courtyard guarded by a mythical dragon.
Next head to Penglipuran, a very traditional village where locals follow the Adat way of life like their ancestors. Your final stop will lead you to Kintamani, which has incredible views of Mount Batur.
