Anyang
During the Shang Dynasty circa 1600-1046AC, Anyang served as the ancient capital and witnessed the golden age of early Chinese culture, crafts and sciences. Anyang is also the birthplace of Chinese characters.
Anyang is the northernmost city of Henan and is among the best preserved of China's ancient capitals. Anyang is also the birthplace of the famous Song dynasty general named Yue Fei. Today, as many as 5 million people call Anyang home.
