Away from the city, amongst mist-covered mountains, you’ll discover the vast Buddha of Le Shan, carved into the cliffs and standing over 70 meters tall, a relic from the Tang Dynasty. Close to the Tibetan border you can explore the spectacular limestone valleys, azure blue lakes and folk villages of the Jiuzhaigou National Park. Cruising on the Yangtze River is an unforgettable experience, past lofty peaks and through the deep mountain gorges of the Wu mountains.
