Walking through the restored, historic Qing Dynasty building which serves as a gateway into the hotel's traditional courtyard, you would be forgiven for thinking you were stepping back in time as you turn off the busy streets of Chengdu. The mood soon changes as you walk into the super slick lobby and are greeted by the attentive staff with their wonderful 'at home' service.
