7 Day EcoCamp W Trek - Day One
Heading out from Punta Arenas, located on the edge of the Strait of Magellan, you’ll begin your journey towards the prime wilderness of EcoCamp Patagonia, and your destination, the world-famous Torres del Paine National Park. There, ancient forests, towering granite peaks and glaciers meet lakes, rivers, and pampas. Torres del Paine truly is the gem in Chilean Patagonia's crown. The journey there is scenic and atmospheric, and you will pass an ever-changing Patagonian landscape.
There will be a stop at Puerto Natales, a small, lively town on the shores of "Seno de Ultima Esperanza", where you’ll have a hearty local lunch and soak in the view.
The day ends with the arrival and overnight stay at the award-winning EcoCamp Patagonia, a unique and special place in the world. Sunset is late in the summer months, usually around 11 pm, which should mean you’ll have enough daylight to admire the Patagonian steppe when you arrive.
