Jozibanini Camp
Jozibanini Camp is a small and truly exclusive camp in a remote part of Hwange National Park. The camp is situated in the south west part of the park where only the wildlife and park rangers frequent.
Highlights
-
A totally unique and wilderness experience in the remotest corner of Hwange – yet a direct flight from Victoria Falls
-
Take advantage of the star beds and the breath-taking views these afford, sleeping on a raised platform.
-
A small camp that offers very personal service, and close wildlife encounters.
-
The activities are key here – spend the day walking or cycling some of the most ancient elephant trails on the continent – the exceptional guiding is Important here.
Jozibanini camp is a favourite of ours for its off the beaten track feel and simple, yet comfortable 'fly camp' style. The camp overlooks the Jozibanini pan and offers guests the chance to explore deep into Hwange National Park and experience close encounters with wildlife on foot, in vehicles, on mountain bikes and in the 'look up' blind.
The three tents at Jozibanini sit on raised platforms which can be made into twin or double bedded tents. All tents feature an en-suite bathroom consisting of a flush toilet and a bucket shower. Dinning is done in an informal and traditional 'fly camping' style out under the stars and around a camp fire.
One of the main characteristics that marks Jozibanini as a favourite is the range of activities on offer. In additional to the traditional game drives and walks, guests can enjoy mountain biking and game viewing during the day and at night under a full moon from the underground blind. Typically getting to camp involves also doing a 'pump run' to the camp where guests can help as much or as little as they want in re-supplying waterholes en route to the camp which give Hwange its heartbeat.
Please note that due to the remoteness of the camp a minimum two night add-on is recommended from one of Imvelo's other Hwange properties: Nehimba, Camelthorn or Bomani.

This camp was perfect for our family adventure and wished we could have stayed longer. We loved the pump run to the camp where we stopped a lot, had a dinner under the trees by one of the waterholes and saw elephants everywhere.
