Climb aboard for a unique cruise experience. From the moment of boarding when guests enter the Roundabout, a lobby area which feels more like a cocktail lounge with a vinyl-spinning DJ, a Virgin Voyage feels more akin to staying at a trendy hotel than taking a conventional cruise. The Roundabout sets the tone with mood lighting, a young and friendly crew and adult only vibe. Despite this being a large ship, with 1,404 cabins, Virgin’s Scarlet Lady has been cleverly designed to incorporate intimate spaces, sound proofing and vibration-reduction systems, so there is no noise issue or the feeling of being in an overcrowded space.
All guests enjoy free Wi-Fi and tablet with the Virgin Voyages App for adjusting the lighting, watching a movie, or ordering 24/7 ShipEats, and there is a wide choice of cabins and suites. Cabins range from the cosy Insider Cabins to the spacious Sea Terrace Cabins, which sleep between 2-4 and feature a private balcony and hammock. There are two categories of suite and suite guests enjoy exclusive access to stargazing and drinks on Richard’s Rooftop Terrace, along with a fully stocked bar, private terrace, record players and champagne tables. Designed by Tom Dixon the RockStar Quarters also feature marble-clad bathrooms, premium amenities and early boarding or trade up to Mega RockStar Quarters for additional benefits including a personal music room, outdoor hot tub, and terrace swing chair. All suite guests have access to RockStar Agents who provide a friendly concierge service.
Life onboard has much to offer. Rates are all-inclusive of food, beverages and soft drinks and guests can choose from a range of 20 eateries from Gunbae Korean to Extra Virgin Italian, from sophisticated dining to 24/7 snacks. Guests are spoilt for choice in terms of bars and entertainment venues. There’s a mixology lounge, a champagne lounge, pool bar, fabulous theatrical performances, nightclubs, casino, gaming area, live music, and karaoke. The deck wraps around the ship creating a running track, while there’s a pool, fitness centre and group workouts for staying in shape. For pampering, there is also an extensive spa, barbers, hair, and beauty salon for optimal preening. Guests can even visit the onboard tattoo parlour, Squid Ink for a permanent souvenir of their trip. The Scarlet Lady sails out of Miami, cruising the warm waters of the Caribbean.
