Luxury ski hotel in one of North America's finest ski resorts
Comfortable and spacious accommodation - perfect for families and friends
Small and intimate Spa
Superb cuisine - with some of the best steaks around
Consistently rated as one of the best ski hotels by Condé Nast Traveler, the Hotel Park City has a great slope side location and is close to all the resort's facilities. Not quite ski in/ski out, it is ideal for cross country skiing, and families where one or two members prefer not to ski every day. We were bowled over by the service here - guests are greeted with a genuine warm welcome and staff get to know your name immediately.
Hotel Park City has 100 suites, with a mix of hotel accommodation and cottage style living, giving families and groups more flexibility. The property has a couple of fantastic restaurants and many people visit just for this alone. Ruth’s Chris Steak House has a gourmet menu of prime steaks, seafood and New Orleans-inspired appetizers. The catch of the day should definitely be tried. Bandannas Bar & Grill serves an American breakfast and then American favourites for lunch. The luxurious Spa and Health Club has a variety of therapeutic massages and Thai inspired treatments. It's a small and intimate Spa, but the service is still fantastic. The outdoor heated pool is enormous and is a hub for après ski.
Hotel Park City is a very good 4* but because it is great value you won't end up with a huge bill before or at the end of your stay. This makes this an ideal choice for families along with the great outdoor pool and excellent sized rooms.
The town of Park City is nestled high in the Wasatch Mountains and boasts some of the best snow in North America. It offers a fantastic range of recreation, as well as sophisticated dining and nightlife, all within a short drive from Salt Lake City International Airport. It was the epicentre of the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympic Games and offers exceptional skiing for intermediates and experts. Wide slopes are great for children and beginners, with very professional ski schools offering great tuition. With nearly 400 pistes, it's difficult to imagine there's more to do in Park City than world-class skiing or snowboarding, however, if you're a thrill-seeker, you should visit the Olympic park and try the Olympic Bobsled run. The park also houses a fantastic museum which is worth a visit. An extensive choice of shops, bars and galleries can be found on Main Street Park City, an historical landmark which you can explore by trolley tram.
When to visit
Families sharing a suite should be aware that there is no separation between the sleeping areas so this hotel is perhaps better suited to families with older children looking to eat together and then go to bed at a similar time.
