Indulge in an intimate and classically modern take on an African safari experience in an incredibly private and calm setting. The camp has been skilfully reorganised to capture the best views over the plains as well as two nearby waterholes where the game frequently gather to drink.
Take comfort in the knowledge that your self-contained tented suite rests lightly and closely to the ground and is designed to have minimal environmental impact without sacrificing Singita’s signature levels of comfort.
The private Grumeti Reserve is a 340,000 acre (140,000 hectare) safari destination bordering the Serengeti National Park to the north east. It is part of the greater Serengeti ecosystem and sits in the path of the great wildebeest migration, producing excellent game viewing.
Singita Sabora Tented Camp is a small and very stylish tented camp set on the plains of the Grumeti Reserve. Decorated in sleek neutral tones, each of the nine tented suites include private pantries, ensuite bathrooms boasting a shower and deep bath tub, and a private terrace where guest can enjoy yoga or lounge on the day bed overlooking the waterholes.
In addition to day and night game drives, guests can play tennis on the outdoor court, take a dip in the pool and enjoy short drives in Sabora’s two vintage cars, as well as make use of the facilities at Sasakwa Lodge. Sabora is completely unfenced so animals are free to wander through and around the camp and they come to drink at the nearby watering hole which the camp overlooks. This is the ideal base for couples and families, with just nine safari vehicles (for three camps) covering an area almost the size of the Maasai Mara.
