With just 15 tented suites, Lemala Nanyukie is an intimate, welcoming lodge which has been sympathetically designed to mirror the beauty of its surrounds, while offering guests a high level of comfort and amenities. The tented structures are sprinkled between the acacia trees and the kopjes, with a lounge, dining area and bar at the heart to create a sociable hub.
The beautiful views of the Serengeti from the suites may distract you from the simple elegance and modern styling of the suites themselves - the floor-to-ceiling windows create a frame around the lush green savannahs that unfold in all directions. Inside, the tented suites are refined and graceful, with a super king size bed, hardwood furniture and a serenely muted colour palette. Ensuite bathrooms feature double vanities, a shower and freestanding bath, while a plunge pool graces the outside decking, ideal for a post-game drive dip with a view.
At the heart of the camp lies the lounge, dining area and bar; a sociable hub for sharing safari tales but with cosy corners for hiding away with a book. Order a drink from the bartender at the well-stocked bar and sink into one of the sofas or curl up by the fire and relax after a day of new adventures and experiences. Meals can be served inside or out, while private bush dinners create a memorable celebration of a special occasion. The swimming pool is an inviting temptation after a game drive and the loungers and day beds that line its edge entice you to relax in the warmth of the African sun.
While you may be reluctant to leave the homelike comfort of the camp, the true draw of Lemala Nanyukie lies outside its grounds in the plains and hills of the Serengeti. Explore the park on a game drive in an open-top vehicle, be wowed by the spectacular wildebeest migration or take a walk with an experienced guide. Younger guests won’t miss out with the Lemala Cubs programme, a chance to track animals, identify spoors and walk with a Maasai.
Achieving a delicate balance of authentic safari experience, stylish accommodation and luxury amenities, Lemala Nanyukie offers a high level of comfort at the heart of one of Tanzania’s most biodiverse and wildlife-rich parks.
