Ladera was once part of Rabot Estate, one of Soufrière's oldest and most famous cocoa plantations. It is now a unique eco-lux hotel in a dramatic location overlooking the Pitons and Caribbean Sea.
The hotel has 37 suites and villas perched on the cliff top with an open wall revealing panoramic views of the rainforest and Pitons. The suites are all constructed of tropical hardwood, stone and tile, furnished with traditional handcrafted wooden furniture and decorated with local artwork, giving a quirky and unique feel to the rooms. Both the suites and the villas have an open air living area and either a plunge pool or private swimming pool.
The poolside restaurant has an equally spectacular view and a delicious menu offering imaginative interpretations of local specialities. The Spa at Ladera features indulgent treatments inspired by St. Lucia's volcanic history and the lush rainforest that surrounds this peaceful retreat.
There is a shuttle service to nearby beaches and there are several interesting and adventurous activities in the surrounding rainforest including hiking up the infamous Pitons and horse riding. there are also a range of island tours available and you can go whale watching to catch glimpses of sperm whales and short finned pilot humpbacks.
