Places to Visit in Sri Lanka
Every corner of Sri Lanka is begging to be explored, plunge into the vast tranquillity that awaits you. Don’t miss a trip to the Cultural Triangle and the Sigirya Rock Fortress - one of the most iconic sites in the country. Once you reach the top of the rock the views are spectacular and certainly worth the climb up the staircase.
If you are looking to be mesmerised then head to the majestic Dambulla Buddhist Caves, soak up the Anuradhapura Ancient City and the Sigiriya rock which rises majestically from the jungle floor. It is famous for its ‘mirror wall’, so called because of its highly polished surface. Taking the local train that winds its way up to the Tea Country from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya, is a beautiful way to experience the countryside. Or simply just amble the historic streets of Sri Lanka’s first colonial city of Galle. But of course after this level of sightseeing we cannot recommend enough to relax on one of the powder soft beaches and watch the sunset with a cocktail in hand. Bliss.
