Cape Town is a year-round destination. The summers are generally warm and dry, while winters tend to be wet and cool, the rains brought on by fierce north westerly gales. Neither season experiences extremes of temperature, thanks to prevailing winds. Summer (Nov-Mar) is the hottest with temperatures 20-40°C. Mid season (Apr, May, Sep, Oct) temps between 10-30°C. Winter (from June- Aug) is the low season with temps 0-25°C.
There is no bad time to go on safari in the Kruger National Park. The experience does, however, change from month to month. In the summer months (October to March), it gets very hot. The verdant vistas are all the more spectacular because of the rains, but this means that the foliage is denser, water is more abundant and game is therefore trickier to see. There are lots of beautiful migratory birds during the summer months. While the daytime temperature in the winter months (May to September) is ideal, it does get a little chilly at night and in the early morning.
The Bazaruto Archipelago is warm and sunny year round with temperatures averaging 25° C in the winter months (May – August) and over 30° C in the summer months (December - March). Rain is possible from November to March, usually in short bursts. The sea temperature varies with the seasons and currents, and ranges between 22° C and 32° C.

Cape Town & the Western Cape
Begin with three nights in the cosmopolitan city of Cape. Marvel at the views out across the Atlantic Ocean from the comfort of your room, stroll along the popular V&A Waterfront or explore the stunning beaches of Camp's Bay, a short distance away. Cape Town offers something for every traveller, whether it be taking a foodie tour with an expert guide through the back streets of the city, or paddle boarding with penguins at Boulders Bay along the Cape Peninsular. Dine in world class restaurants or sample fine wines in picturesque vineyards. A few days here will offer a small taste of this vibrant city and leave you wanting more.
