Visit the Majorelle gardens
Take a leisurely stroll around the eccentric Jardin Majorelle. An oasis of calm in the midst of the chaotic city, the gardens house an impressive collection of Islamic art alongside beautiful plants, cacti and lily ponds.
Designed by artist Jacques Majorelle, the gardens were restored in 1980 by fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent, and in 2017, a museum entirely devoted to the work of the acclaimed designer opened here. In addition to the permanent collection of couture, accessories, sketches, and photographs, there are also temporary exhibitions, a fantastic library, and a bookshop.
