Escape the city on this holiday, West Coast Island hopping in Thailand
The Rosewood is easily one of Phuket's most luxurious properties with an exclusive location but not too far from Patong town for shopping and restaurants.
This luxurious 8 day trip will show you what are arguably two of the best properties on the West coast, perfect for those looking to get away from it all.
The west coast of Thailand has a tropical climate and the driest months to visit are December to March. November and April are also good months to visit and you may get some rain, although it is outside of the monsoon season. May to October is the monsoon with downpours occurring once or twice a day, rather than constant rain.
Combine the stunning beaches of Phuket with the dramatic limestone scenery of Phang Nga Bay for a wonderfully relaxing 2-centre beach holiday staying in what we consider to be the best hotels in the area. For the best weather, the best time to visit the west coast is between November to April.
Your holiday begins on the sunny shores of Phuket island, south west Thailand. After arriving at the airport, you will be met by your private driver and whisked away to the very south of the island to the luxurious Rosewood Phuket. Boasting a perfect location on an exclusive peninsular a short drive from the markets and restaurants of Patong town. The resort is made up of 71 pavilions and villas scattered through the forest on the hillside, and across the beachfront, seamlessly blending in with the natural surroundings. While staying at the resort you can enjoy a snorkelling or diving excursion, head into historic Phuket Old Town, or even charter a helicopter for a stunning view of the islands from above. For those wishing for perfect relaxation, you could unwind at the heavenly Asaya spa or take a yoga lesson.
After four nights on Phuket, it’s time for a change of scene. 90 minutes by road takes you to the Ao Po Marina, and then you can enjoy a 45-minute speedboat ride across the glittering sea of Phang Nga Bay, to Six Senses Yao Noi. This is an absolutely stunning property and a firm Scott Dunn favourite, located on a tiny island set between the iconic limestone formations. This is a real highlight and the views are just breath-taking. The villas are all designed in a rustic luxury style and come with their own private pools so are very intimate, offering you maximum privacy. The hotel has a very relaxed and tranquil atmosphere and is largely geared towards couples, although children are of course made very welcome. There are two delicious restaurants, an amazing spa offering a wide range of treatments, and a small beach for relaxing. Boat trips can be arranged for snorkelling close by and this is the perfect place if you are looking for somewhere remote and peaceful. The service is exceptional, and your personal butler will go to any length to make sure you have a memorable stay.
