COMO Castello del Nero boasts an enviable location within easy reach of Florence, Siena and Pisa, as well as benefiting from a setting within 650 acres of prime Tuscan countryside. This destination is a veritable Tuscan retreat.
A sojourn at COMO Castello del Nero is like a journey back in time. Many of the 12th-century features of the castle are still evident with vivid frescoes, adornments bearing the family crest, charming vaulted ceilings and original furnishings. A selection of sumptuously decorated rooms and suites skilfully combine old and new décor ensuring comfort and luxury are key without compromising on charm.
Outside the castle, your eye will be drawn to the incredible panoramic vistas of olive groves and vineyards. Day trips to Siena, Florence and Pisa can be planned as well as wine tasting, horse riding excursions and cookery classes. You can even go truffle hunting in season.
COMO Castello del Nero is home to COMO Shambhala Retreat, an elegant, cocooning sanctuary for therapeutic treatments including massage, yoga and Guinot facials.
The hotel features the La Torre Gourmand Restaurant, awarded with 1 Michelin Star. La Torre offers diners a unique gastronomic experience; guests are pampered by attentive and discreet service while savouring the signature dishes of our Executive Chef. The cuisine is all based on authentic Italian flavours, using home-grown ingredients and local produce. A sumptuous breakfast is provided each morning offering a vast array of fruits, cereals, cheeses and homemade pastries, as well as an a la carte selection.
La Taverna, which offers typical Tuscan recipes, is open for lunch and dinner. During the warm summer months, guests may enjoy meals al fresco at “La Taverna by the pool” and enjoy the beautiful landscape views while dining.
A complimentary shuttle bus operates on alternate days to Florence and Siena with a morning departure and evening return, perfect for exploring both of these stunning cities.
