This half-day group cooking lesson is an incredible chance to discover the flavours and techniques of recipes that have been handed down from generation to generation in this rural area. After travelling through the picturesque Yangshuo countryside you’ll meet a local chef and be guided to the bustling market to buy ingredients for the cooking course. Offering a glimpse into the daily lives of Yangshuo’s residents, a trip to the market will allow you to mingle with the local people and learn more about the herbs and produce grown in the village.

Returning to the kitchen it’s time to roll up your sleeves and start cooking. As the chef demonstrates the traditional techniques you’ll follow along, and will prepare five dishes that showcase the authentic flavours of the region. Along the way you’ll discover more about the cultural significance of food and how integral it is to Chinese society. As a well-deserved reward, you’ll then sit down and feast on your hard work, tasting the delicious flavours of these regional dishes.
