The iconic Forbidden City comes alive for both children and adults as you search through its ancient remains for clues in this entertaining and educational treasure hunt. On arrival, children will be given a smartphone complete with the WeChat app and a list of symbols to seek out. Be sure to pay attention during the guide’s tour, and listen out for the clues hidden in their stories of the history and legends that surround the Forbidden City.

Focusing on the three main parts of the city, you’ll explore the official palaces to hear tales of the grand ceremonies and important meetings that were held within the walls, before continuing onto the imperial lodges with their beautifully manicured gardens and the temples and libraries of the public areas.

Please note that visitor numbers to the Forbidden City are limited and entry must be booked in advance using a copy of your passport. Once booked the date of the visit cannot be changed and the original passport must be presented on arrival.
