On arrival into Santiago, you will be met and transferred to your hotel located in the heart of the capital’s Lastarria neighbourhood. Discover the city’s highlights with the help of a friendly knowledgeable guide, visiting some of the most famous landmarks and getting a local’s perspective on the country’s fascinating history. Cerro San Cristobal is the city's major attraction, with panoramic views over the skyline and a glimpse of the impressive Andes mountains on the horizon. There are some worthwhile museums and galleries to stop in at if you have time and several leafy parks and plazas to stroll through. Throw in the fact that Santiago has an exciting gastronomy scene and plenty of great restaurants and wine bars within walking distance of your hotel, there’s enough to keep you occupied for the next couple of days.

This morning transfer to the picturesque port town of Valparaíso, a UNESCO World Heritage site brimming with history, quirky cafés and bars, artists’ workshops and vibrant street art. Together with a local guide, explore the historic downtown with its labyrinthine maze of streets and brightly coloured buildings, and ride an ancient funicular for fabulous views out over the Pacific Ocean. There’s a real bohemian feel to the place and the laidback vibe makes it ideal for just wandering around, popping into a gallery and enjoying a glass of chilled wine and some nibbles in the afternoon sun.
On the way to Valparaíso you will pass by a few of Chile's best vineyards. If you would like to stop at one of these on route for a visit and a tasting session, just let us know and we can amend the itinerary to include this.

Your next stop is Chile’s picturesque Lake District region, where you’ll spend a couple of nights at a cosy guesthouse located in the adventure hub of Puerto Varas, the perfect base for exploring the natural beauty of the surrounding area. The town sits on the shores of shimmering Lake Llanquihue and is overshadowed by the perfect conical peaks of the Osorno and Calbuco volcanoes. Osorno Volcano is so iconic that we have included a guided visit. If you are feeling particularly active you can climb to various viewpoints on the way up or opt to take the chair lift, which reaches 1,750 metres. Your remaining time in Puerto Varas is at leisure and there are many additional adventures to be had here, whether it’s a boat trip across the lake, hiking, river-rafting or fly-fishing, or simply wandering around the Bavarian feeling town and enjoying the view.

It’s time to wave goodbye to the wilderness as you transfer to the airport for the short flight over to Buenos Aires, South America’s most stylish capital city. Your luxurious boutique hotel is located in the trendy Palermo district, full of fantastic restaurants and relaxed wine bars. We have included a couple of experiences to help you get under the skin of this amazing city and learn a little more about the country’s history and culture. An orientation tour will take you around some of the most interesting neighbourhoods, visiting the colourful houses of La Boca, the antique markets of San Telmo and upmarket Palermo with its leafy green streets and trendy eateries. Your local guide will of course point out places of interest that you can return to in your own time. You’ll also embark on a unique culinary tour, tasting mouth-watering steaks and other local delicacies, washed down with plenty of Malbec. There’s even an opportunity for you to make some of the country’s favourite street snacks, including savoury filled empanadas and sweet, dulce de leche filled alfajores.
