Iguazu Falls Holidays
Iguassu Falls, meaning “great waters”, is one of South America’s most spectacular natural wonders, located on the border between Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay. These vast falls, where thundering cascades give rise to a mist that hovers above the tropical rainforest, is twice the size of Niagara. We recommend a boat-ride to the base of the falls, where you’re likely to get very wet!
Iguassu’s dense emerald backdrop is also home to a fascinating variety of flora and fauna, including orchids, toucans and many species of butterfly. Optional tours can be arranged to visit the Argentinean side of the falls, or the Itaipu hydroelectric project on the Paraguayan side.
"Iguassu Falls is an unmissable highlight and taking the Great Adventure boat trip offers a uniquely exhilarating, albeit wet, way to experience the falls. I'd recommend staying at the Belmond Das Cataratas, so you can have the privilege of visiting the falls when other tourists are not typically there. "
