I believe in spending time in each destination, exploring and learning about the culture with a local rather than rushing throughout the trip. I got my first taste for travel when I started working for Singapore airlines at the age of 18. Globetrotting around the world as a crew, I was fascinated by the different cultures, sights and cuisines.
I believe in spending time in each destination, exploring and learning about the culture with a local rather than rushing throughout the trip. Having travelled to different corners of the world, I still can’t quite narrow down my favourite countries or sights as there are so many. Things I am looking to tick off my bucket list include chasing and watching the Aurora Borealis and Aurora Australis, visiting the Galapagos and other parts of South America, heading to Rwanda to meet the gorillas and I would love to visit Botswana to experience the wonders of the Okavango Delta.
Favourite places I've been
My hot picks
COMO Uma Paro, Paro, BhutanThe COMO hotstone bath followed by a signature massage is a must try! One of the best and most relaxing treatments I've tried.
qualia, Whitsunday Islands, Queensland, AustraliaWith views out to the Whitsundays, Qualia is a place of rare natural beauty, where fine textures and beautiful stone sit hand-in-hand with fragrant eucalyptus.
Singita Faru Faru Lodge, Serengeti National Park, TanzaniaRelax by the pool whilst giraffe and zebra wander towards the nearby water hole or be spellbound as the migration thunders past below the intimate upstairs dining area.
My top tips
On safari trips, while we are required to pack light due to weight restrictions, I recommend the ladies to pack a nice light-weight shawl or kaftan to dress up outfits in the evenings for some Instagram-able moments!
Planning to visit Machu Picchu? Stay a few days in Cuzco to get acclimatised and minimise altitude sickness. I also highly recommend staying at the Sanctuary Lodge, as it is the only hotel located in Machu Pichu.
In Bhutan, schedule in time for a hot stone bath and massage at COMO Uma Paro after climbing the Tiger’s Nest, it is the best massage ever and a well-earned treat!
