I believe in spending time in each destination, exploring and learning about the culture with a local rather than rushing throughout the trip. I got my first taste for travel when I started working for Singapore airlines at the age of 18. Globetrotting around the world as a crew, I was fascinated by the different cultures, sights and cuisines.

Having traveled to different corners of the world, I still can’t quite narrow down my favorite countries or sights as there are so many. Things I am looking to tick off my bucket list include chasing and watching the Aurora Borealis and Aurora Australis, visiting the Galapagos and other parts of South America, heading to Rwanda to meet the gorillas and I would love to visit Botswana to experience the wonders of the Okavango Delta.

From the first time I ever spoke to Jean on the phone to discuss a potential family vacation, Jean has been so lovely. She did an amazing job of organizing and including different places and activities to suit everyone's taste. Even during our trip, she was on hand to guide and help us if we needed anything or in case of emergencies, from when I fell sick with covid and had to delay the trip to when my dad got sick from a heat wave, Jean helped to fit the trip around our revised schedules. These adjustments really made the trip, because I could not imagine if Jean didn’t help or guide us through it. She is my vacation fairy and I will trust her my future adventures!

On safari trips, while we are required to pack light due to weight restrictions, I recommend the ladies to pack a nice light-weight shawl or kaftan to dress up outfits in the evenings for some Instagram-able moments!

Planning to visit Machu Picchu? Stay a few days in Cuzco to get acclimatised and minimize altitude sickness. I also highly recommend staying at the Sanctuary Lodge, as it is the only hotel located in Machu Pichu.

In Bhutan, schedule in time for a hot stone bath and massage at COMO Uma Paro after climbing the Tiger’s Nest, it is the best massage ever and a well-earned treat!
