The average seasonal snowfall at 1600m (5000 feet) is a spectacular 25 metres (75 feet), four or five times the average in most areas of the Alps. Winter temperatures average about 0°C during the day and -6°C overnight in the village with snow typically on the ground from Dec into April. Summers days can be quite warm, with temperatures reaching the high 20s.

  1. Fly to Vancouver

  2. Days 1-8: Whistler and Ski British Columbia

    Fly to Vancouver and continue your journey along the Sea to Sky Highway up to Whistler where skiers enjoy two spectacular mountains linked by the Peak to Peak gondola to create the largest ski area in North America.

    Spending a week in Whistler is the perfect length of stay to experience the mountain and town together. The dazzling range of terrain will keep experts happy for weeks on end, whilst intermediates will love the whole mountain.

    For a break from skiing, take the opportunity to go snowmobiling, ziplining or dogsledding, or try a moonlit snowshoe cookout one evening! Shops, bars and restaurants are plentiful - if you can tear yourself away from the superb slopes, deep powder and mile-long groomers!

  3. Days 8-10: Vancouver

    Once you have had your fill of skiing, you will head back to the city for a stay in downtown Vancouver at the delightful Rosewood Georgia Hotel. It is also perfectly placed to make the most of the historic Gastown, Chinatown and the markets of Granville Island.     Our local foodie connoisseurs will bring to life Canada's best-known public market on a fun-filled tour. Led by a chef guide, the tour will be a true highlight for your taste buds. Enjoy donuts, sourdough breads, locally-cured meats and other treats!

  • Riding the Peak 2 Peak Gondola

    Riding the gondola between Whistler and Blackcomb mountains is an exhilarating experience that everyone should try on their vacation - the views are spectacular. Combine with a hike to Little Whistler Summit (approx. 2 hrs round trip hike).

  • The Grouse Grind

    The Grouse Grind is a self-guided hike directly up the ridge of Grouse Mountain to the base of the cable car and a favourite with fitness fanatic Vancouver locals.
