Bjorn Behlert
I was born in Malaysia where my parents used every opportunity to travel Asia as much as possible. As a child I was taken on canoes through the jungle, on trains or elephants through India and many other countries in the region. After returning to Germany, we still spent every school vacation abroad, often traveling to remote areas, which cemented my ever-growing hunger to explore.
After living in Australia, Vietnam and Fiji, I finally moved to Zambia after finishing my university degree here in the UK. I have traveled to Africa every year since I was five years old, but living in Africa really gave an in-depth understanding of the culture, the way of life, and enforced my already strong connection to the continent. While my travels across Africa were often done in a Land Rover and a tent, I was able to explore the luxuries of camps and lodges when joining Imagine Travel & Scott Dunn in 2012. Since then I have been lucky enough to re-visit many countries, but also explore new areas.
Even after 30 years of Africa travel, I’m the same excited small boy whenever I go, and love to explore the never-ending new areas to visit.
