Itinerary

The autumn months of September and October bring swathes of brightly colored leaves to the trees of New England. The result is a spectacularly colorful landscape that visitors flock to see year after year. Visit the historical city of Boston before driving to a quintessential New England town, Woodstock. End in Rhode Island to see the coast in all its fall glory.

  1. Days 1-2: Boston

    Upon arrival in Boston, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in the heart of the city. Within walking distance to many of the city's iconic sights including Boston Public Gardens and Fenway Park, you will be well placed for enjoying all that Boston has to offer. On the day you arrive, visit the Skywalk Observatory in the evening for a panoramic view of the skyline and get an introduction to the history of Boston.  We have included a 3 hour city tour for you to see the highlights of the city and learn about the history of Boston from an expert guide.

  2. Days 2-4: Vermont

    The next morning, enjoy a leisurely bicycle ride of the city before picking up your hire car in downtown. Drive to Woodstock, a quintessential New England village in the heart of Vermont. Surrounded by beautiful rolling hills and gorgeous fall colors, this is the perfect town to experience New England at its very best. Wander farmer's markets and artisan cheese workshops, visit Silver Lake for a spot of canoeing or head to a typical dairy farm to learn about Vermont's typical farming traditions.

  3. Days 4-6: Rhode Island

    After two nights enjoying the bucolic countryside of Vermont, it's time to head to Newport, the renowned Rhode Island coastal town, famed for its grand mansions overlooking the water, characterful water-front downtown, and access to beautiful beaches nearby. During your time here, walk the picturesque self-guided Cliff Walk that links the ocean front mansions, and organize tickets for a guided tour of The Breakers (built by the Vanderbilts) and other choice mansions, the architecture and living quarters provides a fascinating insight into America's first millionaires in the eighteenth century. Away from the coast, the western and northern areas of Rhode Island have dense forestry that turns to a beautiful orange, yellow and green color,  views at Blithewold Mansion and Gardens with ten acres of rolling Rhode Island countryside to explore. We have included a private 2 hour sail for you to get out on the water and enjoy incredible views of Newport and the islands.
