Average time to visit

Florida is a year-round destination with balmy winters, but summers can be hot and humid. The best time to visit Florida is in March and April when it is warm and sunny, before the weather begins to get too hot. Hurricanes and other less serious tropical storms can strike Florida any time in the summer up to the end of November, however the risk is greatest between August and October.

Itinerary

Day 1-6

Lake Buena Vista, Florida, United States of America

Arriving in Orlando, pick up your SUV and set off on your sunshine state adventure! Make your way to the Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World, located a short distance from the theme parks – close enough to feel the magic, but still a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle. Spend five nights here and use the freedom of your hire car to enjoy a mix of Disney and Universal, while making the most of the fantastic facilities at the hotel. Children of all ages will delight at the complimentary kids club, with a climbing wall, lazy river and water slides, while adults unwind at the serene adult-only pool.

Day 6-9

South Palm Beach, Florida, United States of America

Hit the open road and head south, leaving behind the thrills of Orlando’s theme parks for the sunny shores of Palm Beach. Along the way, follow in the footsteps of space exploration pioneers with an unforgettable behind-the-scenes tour of the Kennedy Space Center. In the company of a veteran astronaut, hear a first-hand account of what it's like to travel and live in space, with views of the launch pads and Shuttle Landing Facility.

Continue to check in for three nights at the chic Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach. This is true coastal luxury, set on a serene stretch of golden sand beach with heated oceanfront pools and a magnificent indoor-outdoor spa. Over the next few days, uncover the best of Palm Beach with an array of fun activities. Cycle along the picturesque streets of the historic quarter with a local insider and swim or snorkel through the marine wildlife-filled waters of Phil Foster State Park on a boat trip.

Discover the importance of the Everglades’ varied ecozystem as you journey through this natural biosphere home to mangroves, sawgrass marshes and pine flatwoods. Hike along swap trails and cruise by airboat deep into the Everglades in search of wildlife, from alligators to exotic birds and countless other animals that inhabit this vast wilderness.

The next day, soak up some local Miami culture with a hands-on graffiti workshop and street art tour.
