This itinerary is perfect for Easter, summer or October half term travel. The East Coast of America has varying seasons. In the northern areas of New York and Washington, temperatures can be very warm in the summer months but perfectly pleasant. In the winter, snow, wind and rain are common.
The southern areas of the East Coast such as South Carolina and Florida have a more tropical climate. Summer months are typically hot and humid, with scattered showers in the afternoon. In the winter months, it is cooler but temperatures rarely drop below 10 degrees celsius.

Venture across the pond for a whirlwind trip to the Eastern shores of the USA. Visit bustling cities packed with culture and history, seek adventure on the waters of South Carolina and top it off with a few days relaxing in Miami heat.

Days 1-4: Upper Eastside (Manhattan)
Beginning in New York, start your adventure with a trip up the Rockefeller Center to see the iconic skyline of the Big Apple or go for a stroll in Central Park. Spend three nights exploring the bustling streets of Manhattan and Brooklyn, ticking off sites and indulging in fine cuisine. Venture to each borough and uncover the personalities of Tribeca, Upper East Side, Midtown and the Financial District - each has its own character

Days 4-7: Washington DC
After three nights in the city, you'll take the train down to the political and historical hub of the states, Washington DC. Along the way, admire fantastic scenery including the Meadowlands, where the New York Jets play football, Philadelphia Zoo and Boathouse Row, a National Historic Landmark. Upon arrival in Washington DC, you will be met by your driver and whisked away to your hotel. With three days in the capital, families will love visiting its famous monuments from the awe-inspiring Lincoln Memorial to the Martin Luther King Memorial.

Days 7-11: Bluffton
You'll be ready for some relaxation by now, so its time to head to the airport for your short flight down to Savannah. From here, pick up your hire car and drive across the scenic Georgia state line into South Carolina. After driving a few miles amongst ancient Oak Trees draped in picturesque Spanish moss, you'll arrive at the little slice of Carolina heaven, Palmetto Bluff. The next four days are for you to spend as you wish, encountering wildlife on boat excursions, paddle-boarding, kayaking, fishing or simply relaxing poolside. We have included a boat tour where you can spot dolpins, rare birds and manatees. Each evening, teenagers will love topping off the day by sitting round the firepit roasting s'mores.

Days 11-14: Miami
After discovering the beautiful landscape and incredible culture of the South, it is time for your final stop. Take a short flight to Miami where you will then spend the last few days relaxing on the beach, whipping around the Everglades in an air-boat spotting alligators or heading to a baseball game at Marlins Park.
