Chiang Mai Night Street Food
Wander through the market accompanied by your own English-speaking guide, who will be happy to make some recommendations on 'must-try' dishes. Lanna cuisine tends to be less spicy than Southern Thai food, with a fantastic variety of flavors and textures, including khaoi soi (yellow noodles in a fragrant curry broth) and sai oua (Nothern Thai sausage made with lemongrass, galangal and kaffir lime leaf). Visitors will also still find traditional favorites such as deep fried pancakes, deep fried taro, kanom krok (Thai coconut pudding),pad thai and the summer favorite of sweet mango with sticky rice, and why not sample some of the local rice whisky?
The street food market opens in the evening and so the tour will start at around 6.30pm, usually finishing at around 9.30pm.
