Ruaha National Park
Tanzania’s second largest park, Ruaha is a verdant landscape of enormous stretches of miombo woodland bordering a dramatic escarpment of a watershed between the Nzombe and Ruaha rivers. This varied topography combined with the dry, hot climate creates a rich, fertile land for the abundant wildlife of the park, including kudu found only in Ruaha.
Impala bounce along, past giraffe, waterbuck, zebra and buffalo, alongside Grant’s gazelles, cheetah and Tanzania’s largest elephant population. After an exhilarating day of game drives, sit back with a sundowner as the evening serenade starts up over the baobab trees.
