Best time to Visit

Good time to visit

Average time to visit

Stockholm is a year round destination but is at its best in spring, summer and December. From May to September temperatures are warm, early twenties but in the height of summer can reach up to 30 degrees and the sun doesn't set until around 10:30pm, rising at around 3:00am so you can really pack a lot in! During the winter temperatures do get cold but it is a great place to go for a pre-Christmas getaway. A trip to Swedish Lapland between November and March will allow you to make the most of your chances of catching the Northern Lights. And of course there will be snow on the ground too making husky sledding, snow-shoeing and snowmobiling all possible.

Exploration and extravagance await you on this seven-night journey through Sweden, uncovering some of the most enchanting parts of the country’s breathtaking panoramas. From culture, cafes and chic restaurants in Stockholm to amorous hideaways and spectacular encounters in Swedish Lapland, this alternative honeymoon itinerary oozes luxury and romance while adding a splash of spirited adventure.

  1. Fly to Stockholm

  2. Days 1-3: Stockholm and Eastern Sweden

Begin your unique Swedish honeymoon in Stockholm, one of Europe’s most enchanting historic centers with an impeccable style. Staying at the opulent Ett Hem, you will feel a sense of home in this intimate 12-room townhouse that was intricately transformed into a boutique hotel. With elegantly designed interiors preserving the personality and individuality of the original house, the ambience is relaxed, informal and cosy, yet the level of service and luxury are of the highest standards.

Stroll into town and traverse all that Stockholm has to offer on a private tour with one of our expert local guides. Lose yourself in the bewitching cobbled streets, roam through a range of designer boutiques and quench your thirst in one of the many modish cafes. Following a day of exploring the city, head back to Ett Hem and indulge in delicious tea-time treats crafted by a charming chef in the exclusive open kitchen. Repose and pamper yourself in the marble hammam and spa. Relish a beverage or two from the cocktail cabinet in your bedroom and be sure to book a table in the conservatory for the most romantic dinner in Stockholm.

    Accommodation: Ett Hem (2 nights)

  3. Days 3-5: Swedish Lapland

Time to fly an hour and half northwards into the depths of Swedish Lapland for a two-night stay at a hotel with a truly one-of-a-kind concept. Surrounded by spellbinding forest, Treehotel makes full use of its surroundings and seamlessly blends astonishing contemporary design with eco-friendly practice. Our favorite cabins include the ‘Mirror Cube’ hideout camouflaged by mirrored walls reflecting the woodlands, and the miraculous ‘Birds Nest’ built on the contrasts between the outside and in. Whichever one you desire, lean into limitless, switch off from the outside world and prepare to lose yourself in nature.

If you do manage to tear yourself away from the tranquillity of your treehouse, we’ve prepared your stay with a plethora of outdoor activities for you to try. Trawl through the snow-covered forests on a thrilling husky dog sled ride by day and dine upon a frozen lake in a heated tipi by night, where you will have the chance to spot the mesmeric Northern Lights.

    Accommodation: Treehotel (2 nights)

  4. Days 5-8: Swedish Lapland

Leaving the fun of Treehotel behind, it’s time to really escape from it all at Loggers Lodge. Welcome to an exclusive one-bed, snug, timber cabin and perfect hideaway for two. With your closest neighbor located five kilometers away, Loggers Lodge is the epitome of remote. Here you will dine, sleep and relax alongside its comfortable furnishings and glorious open fire. Uncork a bottle of wine while your private chef cooks you a delicious Lappish spread. Respite in the wood-fired sauna as you warm up after a fun day in the snow. Hold onto those precious moments as you observe the Artic scenery while unwinding in the luxurious outdoor jacuzzi.

The surrounding area of this idyllic sanctuary is an unspoiled wilderness waiting for you to explore. Try your hand at ice fishing, learn how to photograph the beguiling Northern Lights, ride through the mystical winter wonderland on a snowmobile and scratch beneath the surface of Lapland’s stunning scenery as you embark on a traditional Nordic ski tour lead by one of our local experts.

    Accommodation: Loggers Lodge (3 nights)
