Lima’s gastronomic scene is firmly on the up, with a number of world-class restaurants having popped up in recent years. Make the most of your stay in the city and book a table at one of the top spots in town to enjoy after a day of exploring. We have included a foodie tour to whet your appetite for what’s to come!

Accommodation: Miraflores Park, A Belmond Hotel (2 nights)

  3. Days 3-7: Cusco, Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu

Fly down to Cuzco and travel into the Sacred Valley where your journey back in time to the days of the Incas begins. Spend your days visiting ancient Inca sites and vibrant Andean villages, admiring the architecture at Ollantaytambo and Chinchero, which are not to be missed. A full day horseback riding excursion is included as it’s a great way to explore the rolling landscapes. A full day trip to the ruins at Machu Picchu has also been included, taking the luxurious first-class Inca Rail service. Watch as the clouds peel off the surrounding mountains and the ruins - it is a magical sight to behold. Explore this hilltop city with a knowledgeable guide, learning the secrets of the sun gate and debate the mysteries of how and why this impressive civilization disappeared. Meet the resident llamas, easily the most photographed llamas in Peru!

Accommodation: Hotel Sol y Luna (4 nights)

  4. Days 7-10: Cusco, Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu

From Machu Picchu, continue by luxury train down the valley to the ancient city of Cuzco, whose charming terracotta rooftops cover the valley.
