Average time to visit
The best time to visit Burma is during the dry season from November to April. At this time the warm and sunny days are ideal for sightseeing throughout the country. The temperatures start to rise in March and May to September is best avoided as this is the rainy season when sightseeing can become difficult.

Itinerary
This itinerary is the perfect introduction to Myanmar, taking in the main highlights which continually captivate our guests. Combine colonial Yangon, the temples and pagodas of Bagan, the culture around Inle Lake and the delightful beaches around Ngapali to round off a brilliant trip.

Days 1-3: Yangon
Start your adventure with two nights in Yangon, full of bright vibrant colors; the deep red robes of the monks, the spectacular gold of the Shwedagon Pagoda, the pale hues of the crumbling colonial buildings all enhanced by the buzzing energy of a city on the move with the hustle and bustle of street life at every corner. Your private guide and driver will take you through all the highlights and also one afternoon, to get a much more local experience, we have included the circular train ride for you. Starting off from Yangon train station you’ll journey to the outskirts of town where you can visit a small market and during your time on the train you’ll be able to take in the likely and colorful life of the local Burmese people.
For the foodies, we have included an evening tour of Yangon which will whisk you from the best sundowners locations, all of the city by trishaw stopping in at some of our favorite restaurants and tea shops.

Days 3-5: Bagan
After two nights in Yangon, it is then on to Bagan which you will reach by a short flight. Famous for its thousands of temples, as soon as you land your guide will be waiting to show you some of Bagan’s highlights alongside the lesser known treasures. On your second day in Bagan, making the most of your time here, we have included a trip out to Mount Popa for you. This is one of the most spiritual areas in Bagan and a great place to really see local Burmese life as you pass and stop in at local villages as you make your way through the surrounding countryside.

Days 5-7: Inle Lake
Then it is on to Heho, again reachable with a short flight from Bagan. Heho is the gateway to Inle Lake, one of the most beautiful and interesting areas in Myanmar. Here you can visit local floating markets, see traditional silk weavers at work and explore tribal villages seeing the traditional Burmese way of life in all its fascination. Alongside your exploration of the lake and the surrounding villages we have included a cooking class for you at Inthar Heritage House, which aims to preserve the culture of the local Intha people, Inle Lake’s indigenous people.

Days 7-10: Ngapali Beach
As the final flourish, journey to the unspoiled sands of Ngapali Beach to relax by the Bay of Bengal. Ngapali truly is one of the last untouched beaches in Asia, with un crowded expanses of pure golden sands and palm trees leaning lazily over the shore. Soak up the beautiful laid back atmosphere after your incredible adventures through Myanmar and reflect on your experiences as the warm sea laps against your toes.
