Pristine Lotus is located on a hillside at Khaung Daing village on the west bank of Inle Lake. Take a fascinating 20-minute boat-ride from Nyang Shwe or interesting 45-minute drive from Heho airport to reach this lovely property.

Pristine Lotus, on the banks of Inle Lake, boasts a natural hot spring and comfortable accommodation affording great views of the Lake. Positioned at a rare vantage point, Pristine Lotus Resort is gracefully laid out over a landscaped hillside that gently slopes into the lake, offering great views over the water and the Shan hills beyond.

Well-appointed individual villas punctuate the lush gardens; take time and enjoy the scenic beauty of the great lake from the balcony of your room or enjoy a good book in the cool shade of the gardens, accompanied by the babbling of the streams and chirping of the birds. Spacious interiors are furnished with local wooden furniture and handcrafted indigenous fabrics and amenities. The attic provides an inner sanctuary with easy access through the balcony to the open space and expansive views across the lake.

The restaurant has an extensive menu covering many different nationalities in terms of cuisine. You can chose to sit indoors our outdoors and there is also a kitchen on show so you can observe the chefs expertly creating their dishes. There is no pool at the resort at the moment but there is a natural hot spring.

Each individual Bungalow features a separate living room, bathroom and private balcony. Rooms are furnished with handcrafted fabrics and artifacts, lots of natural lights and teakwood furniture. The bungalows have an attic with some open space and sense of peace.

The over-water restaurant is connected by wooden walkways and overlooks the gardens and lakeside area. The menu offers a wide range of different cuisines internationally to include Shan, Indian, Thai, Chinese, Myanmar and European.

Jivala Spa is environmentally aware so as much local resources as possible have been used to build it and to create its products.

During your stay here you can do some trekking to local villages accompanied by a private guide, tours around the lake or simply just enjoy the lush gardens of the resort or indulge in some spa therapy. There is limited entertainment in terms of restaurants, shopping and bars nearby but it really is a lovely tranquil place just to take it as it is and enjoy the relaxing and slow paced environment in and around the lake.

I really liked Pristine Lotus, but would probably recommend their older, more spacious and more exclusive feeling rooms to their newer ones closer to the lake.
