7 Day EcoCamp W Trek - Day Four
Torres del Paine, Patagonia
A glorious hiking day, heading out from Paine Grande Refugio along the shores of Lake Pehoe, with its crystalline waters, to the northern side of Lake Grey, with its icy clear waters.
This hike takes in two majestic lakes, Lake Pehoe, famous for its clear mirror-like water reflecting the sharp granite formations of Cuernos del Paine; and the naturally beautiful Lake Grey, with its deep grey reflective waters.
On this day a picnic lunch is provided and then it’s onto a boat to sail out to see the huge Glacier Grey, in the Southern Patagonian Ice Field – one of the world’s natural wonders. From the southern end of Glacier Grey, you’ll transfer to EcoCamp Patagonia.
Sometimes boat trips can be cancelled, if this is the case the alternative is to trek up to the sightseeing point which also gives excellent panoramic views of Glacier Grey, instead. Afterwards, return on foot to Paine Grande and take a catamaran to Pudeto’s dock, where you’ll be picked up and driven to EcoCamp.
Overnight at EcoCamp Patagonia.
