Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, in the south-west of Uganda, is home to a huge variety of wildlife and endangered species, the most famous of which is the mountain gorilla. As Bwindi Forest contains half of the world’s mountain gorilla population it has been recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in order to protect and preserve the area and its flora and fauna.
