Chalet 1936

Perched on the edge of the Verbier plateau, the impressive Chalet 1936 enjoys glorious views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. This breathtaking property provides stylish accommodation and range of spa and entertainment facilities for a luxurious and memorable stay in the Swiss Alps. Design highlights include antique wooden beams, oak flooring, natural stone sinks, feature fireplaces, contemporary furnishings, sumptuous fabrics and walls adorned with curated pop art. Alongside this, there’s an indoor swimming pool, hammam, gym, outdoor hot tub, games and cinema room.

Providing over 1000m² of exquisitely designed living space spread across five floors, the chalet’s main entrance is on the second floor which is home to the main living room with feature fireplace, open plan dining area seating 14 and well-equipped kitchen. Large glass doors offer panoramic views and access to one of the many south-facing balconies. A second entrance for winter guests leads to the ski and boot room and guest WC.

The chalet sleeps 12 adults and 4 children in six ensuite bedrooms and a bunk room. The lavish master bedroom occupies the top floor of the chalet and includes a fireplace, dressing area, private balcony and spacious bathroom with copper rolltop bath and shower. Beneath this, there are three double ensuites with shared balcony access, a Queen ensuite and children’s room with two handcrafted bunks, sleeping up to four. An additional twin ensuite bedroom is on the ground floor, where there is also a staff apartment with separate entrance, which can be included for an additional charge.

The two lower floors house the spa and entertainment facilities, where you’ll find an indoor 8m x 3m swimming pool with swim jets, glass hammam, gym, outdoor cedar hot tub and terrace, games room with bar area and cinema room. There is elevator serving floors 1 – 4 and parking for up to three cars.

To ensure you get the most from your stay, there’s an excellent concierge and driver service, chalet host for daily housekeeping and private chef. For five days you’ll enjoy a cooked breakfast, afternoon tea, pre-dinner drinks and canapés and a gourmet three-course dinner with paired wines. Continental breakfast is served two days a week.

The centre of the resort is a 5-minute walk, while the Medran Lift Station is a 10-minute walk but for added convenience guests enjoy a complimentary daily driver service from 8am to midnight. For international flights, Geneva Airport is a 2-hr drive.
