South Africa is a year-round destination. The summers are generally warm and dry, while winters tend to be wet and cool, the rains brought on by fierce north westerly gales. Neither season experiences extremes of temperature, thanks to prevailing winds. Summer (Nov-Mar) is the hottest with temperatures 20-40°C. Mid season (Apr, May, Sep, Oct) temps between 10-30°C. Winter (from June- Aug) is the low season with temps 0-25°C.

Antarctic weather is a lesson in extremes. Antarctica is the world’s coldest, windiest and driest continent. During the summer months the winds abate considerably and the weather is surprisingly comfortable, averaging between 20 and 50F. Summertime also means 18-24 hours of sunlight which allows life to flourish for a brief summer period. Long days also allow extensive exploration by small ship cruise to Antarctica. Antarctic weather allows for a short season of cruising from November to March each year.

Kruger National Park

The excitement builds as you travel through iconic scenery along to Africa’s most exclusive safari lodge in the Kruger National Park, the luxurious Singita Lebombo Lodge.  From the moment you arrive nothing will be short of the opulence you yearn for in this spell binding safari adventure.  Raised high above the river, constructed almost entirely of glass for a dramatic effect with vast living spaces and balconies making the most of the stunning river views.

Both Singita Lebombo and Singita Sweni have access to a private 33,000-acre wilderness area, home to a plethora of wildlife, especially known for its large lion population. Spend four nights indulging in some of South Africa’s most impressive cuisine, relaxing in your large private contemporary suite and enjoying twice daily 4x4 game drives in search of a large selection of wildlife, topped off with some world-class guiding.

Kick off with an early morning game drive and laze by the impressive pool before heading out in the afternoon for another game drive and a stop for some sundowner drinks. Take time in the evening to ponder your days adventure, devour a gourmet dinner with a sommelier wine paring, before retiring to your suite where you have the option of sleeping on your private deck under a canopy of stars.
