Singita Ebony Lodge reclines in the peaceful shade of jackalberry trees on the banks of the Sand River, in the heart of the Singita Private Game Reserve. The lodge boasts timeworn colonial furniture and ethnic crafts which merge with vibrant hand-woven fabrics and relics collected from the local area. The spacious suites are places of quiet contemplation and the lodge is the epitome of the luxury safari experience, combining quality and simple refinement. This is a place to relax and enjoy the true "armchair safari", a phrase coined by the lodge itself.
The main lodge at Ebony has a beautiful lounge and dining area, situated on timber decks overlooking the Sand River, a bar area and traditional open-air boma, fully-equipped gym, health spa and wine cellar. There is an incredible gallery here filled with African art and a well stocked library for those who wish to learn more about the area. The main area shelters under towering jackalberry shade trees, and has a beautiful outlook over the Sand river - the perfect place to watch game pass by.
Game drives leave twice daily accompanied by your expert guide, to find and track the Big Five which are found in the area. If you are feeling a bit more energetic, head out on foot for a nature walk through the bush. Also on offer are community tours and archery - and for a bit of relaxation back at the lodge, massages can be taken in the comfort of your room.
