Auberge Clermont is a small wine fruit farm situated just on the outskirts of Franschhoek, a short drive into the centre of town. This is a charming base for relaxing and indulging in all of the wonderful food and wine of the region and the staff will ensure you're well looked after.
There are just six bedrooms, each individually decorated in the colours of rural Provence. The loft rooms are light and stylish with superb views. Some rooms overlook the orchards and majestic mountains beyond. The bathrooms have separate showers, double basins and heated towel rails. Under floor heating and ceiling fans ensure year round comfort. The deliciously romantic honeymoon suite has a giant bathtub, double showers and a huge double bed beneath a hand painted ceiling of clouds and birds.
In addition, there is an historic self-catering two-bedroom villa. Enjoy this secluded, beautifully appointed old cape farmhouse, with large covered terrace and private swimming pool overlooking the plum orchard and vineyards. The villa includes a large loft room with bathroom – ideal for children.
Delicious Provencale breakfasts are served in the pretty courtyard dining room or under the 18th century oak trees.
A tennis court and small swimming pool are great for summer fun and you can also go horse riding, play a round of golf on the Jack Nicklaus signature golf course and of course visit the wonderful wineries nearby.
