Once home to Panama’s former Club Unión, a meeting place for the social elite, today this handsome building plays host to the Sofitel Legend Hotel. Alternatively, there are 35 spacious luxury suites with separate living and sleeping areas. Some also have separate bedrooms to accommodate families.
The dining options at the hotel are superb. Overseen by Michelin-starred chef, Lorenzo Di Gravio, Caleta is an elegant Mediterranean brasserie with a focus on seafood, fresh local ingredients, and intelligent wine pairing. Or head up to rooftop-located Ammi, which combines dining, drinks, and dancing in a festive atmosphere. For light bites and cocktails, the lobby bar Mayda is popular with both guests and locals and there’s a Pool Bar serving drinks and healthy snacks.
