The local rivers around Taupo are fabulous spots for fly fishing. Easily accessible from town and not too distant. If you are new to the sport of fly fishing, the fly fishing guides will teach you the basics of how to tie a fly, cast and reel a trout in. They welcome all levels, even complete beginners who have never fished before. If you already have some experience, your guides will take you to their favourite secret spots where you are almost guaranteed to catch something! Your guide will collect you from your Taupo accommodation by 4X4 wheel drive for either a morning or afternoon experience. Taupo fly fishing is world-renowned and a must-do for anyone keen on fishing or those wanting a new experience, whilst in this area. Foot size for waders and client accommodation are required when booking.
