Naladhu Private Island

The island of Naladhu is a tropical island paradise with just 20 spacious beachfront and ocean facing houses. There are high levels of privacy although guests can also take advantage of the facilities on nearby Anantara Dhigu and Anantara Veli.

Naladhu Private Island
  • Easy to get to, Naladhu is just a 40 minute speedboat transfer from Male and home to just 20 villas, each with a dedicated butler, ensuring the levels of service are extremely high.

  • The Living Room is the only restaurant on Naladhu, but guests can take advantage of the facilities on nearby Anantara Dhigu and Anantara Veli if they want a bit of variety, accessible by a board walk to one, and a dhoni boat to another. The guests at the other two islands cannot access Naladhu.

  • Naladhu has all their accommodation on the beach rather than over water; colonial inspired interiors with floral prints and engraved wooden columns. The Ocean Houses do not have direct access to the beach, but do have their own cabana on the beach so that guests can make a base.

Elegant, private houses fronting the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean are surrounded by the beautiful white sand of a perfect beach. Naladhu is a tropical island with lush green coconut groves amongst which are the 20 houses.

Naladhu Private Island comprises a collection of luxuriously appointed houses, brimming with colonial influences, all with their own infinity pools, spacious decks and dining sala’s so you need not ever leave your house if you want to holiday in private. All the houses come with a dedicated butler who is like a personal assistant, seeing to all requirements as needed. The Naladhu experience is defined by indulgence. A pillow menu with a choice of options. Champagne, gourmet snacks and floral baths. A video library with all the favourites and a fully stocked gourmet minibar.

Guests have the choice of where to be pampered; the comfort of their spacious bedroom, the sun-bleached deck as twilight falls, under the shade of a towering palm on the beach, or embark on a spa journey to the luxurious spas of the sister islands of Anantara Dhigu and Veli.

Sharing the facilities of nearby Anantara, guests of Naladhu have access to a wide range of restaurants, a PADI 5* Dive Centre, Tennis and an excellent water sports centre.

Top tip:

Ocean Houses are set over the reef so don't be mistaken in thinking they are water villas from which you can directly step into the sea
